Who can get a library card, how to apply, and how to use your library card.
- Anyone is eligible for a library card. Children under 13 years old will need a parent or guardian's signature in order to sign up for a card.
- Applying for a card is easy. Just stop by the front desk and we'll take your information and issue you a library card.
- A copy of your drivers license is now required. If the applicant is 13 years or younger, a copy of the signing parent's drivers license will be taken.
- As a card holder, you have certain responsibilities to uphold:
- Present your card when checking out materials
- Keep track of all materials check out with your card; you will be responsible for them
- Notify the library if you have moved or have a new phone number; this ensures that records will be kept up-to-date
- Know that if you let someone else borrow your card to check out materials, you are still responsible for the items check out as it the card is under your name

- Present your card or give your name upon checking out materials
- Loan Periods
- Materials will be checked out for two (2) weeks at a time. Longer loan periods may be given upon request.
- Interlibrary loans are due the date indicated by the lender.
- Current issues of periodicals do not circulate.
- Patrons will receive a printed receipt with due dates for the materials checked out.
- Renewals/Reserves
- Items may be renewed if there is not a reserve.
- Renewals and reserve requests will be accepted in person, by telephone or email.
- Request for an Interlibrary Loan will be processed through a staff member.
- Renewal of Interlibrary Loan material will depend upon the policy of the lending library.
- Overdues
- Patrons who keep library materials past the due date will be notified by the designated staff member (by telephone or letter). If the items are continually overdue, library privileges will be lost , fines are assessed and the patron is sent to a collection agency.
